about

Inspired by the Charleston 9 Mascre that took place in my home city "Charleston SC" in June 2015 and all other hate crimes throughout the world! "Just Us" message is to encourage individuals to stop the violence and create more peace among the land. This powerful track is also the voice from and for our young people as to how we feel as citizens of America descending from Africa when it comes to racial profiling and unjust in our judicial system, communities and schools.

lyrics

Chorus:

They screaming justice
but they killing just us
more peace in the streets we seek equality
mo more more peace in the streets we seek equality
repeat once

Verse 1: Nina Ross

We want more than equality but also supremacy
we the first race to step our foot in this vicinity
respect peace serenity
is what we want and need
we minding our own business
so what's the need for all the hassling
facetiously harassing we
have equal rights and opportunities
so do yourself a favor and please
just leave us be
they killing up our people like a dog
in streets
and expect us to to show love
peace and harmony
you gosta be kidding me
out your mind ya silly B
gotta teach our youngins about police brutality
gotta teach our youngins about police brutality
Charleston 9 is a prime example of what they've done to me

Chorus:

They screaming justice
but they killing just us
more peace in the streets we seek equality
mo more more peace in the streets we seek equality
repeat once

Verse 2: Kairo Myth

see things for what they are not what they appear to be
it appears to me you acting as if im the enemy
my identy the reason you acting so finicky
at the same time the reason you also remember me
time to wake up my people how long we been asleep
more peace to the streets what we seek is equality
all these leaders they be screaming like nigga come follow me
how we speaka deeper through speakas
reaching for power b
back i remeber when at the loss of my innocence
at the sight of violence i black out
in the winter wind
sworn to the storm
my nigga i represent
so now you know my word is bond
forever more better than shit that you send

Chorus:

They screaming justice
but they killing just us
more peace in the streets we seek equality
mo more more peace in the streets we seek equality
repeat once

Bridge:

Creator God help us now
we needa 360 just to turn it around
bless us with wisdom knowledge and power to be
royal people just like you mad us to be
repeat once
